I plan on keep'n you people updated at all times, so, here goes nothing...
This morning, I put on an extremely frilly, white apron. I've been baking pies, and cakes; humming a very merry tune all the while. Gearing up for the upcoming holiday will eat into a bit o' mah writing time, but I have been making major progress.
The Sybarite's Tool Box has received a bit of an overhaul to account for the Magic & Necromancy sub-systems, and the power they provide. Btw, I'm nearly done with this...
Exceptionalisam, Magic, and Necromancy, are three very unique, and mutually exclusive, paths of development. All three contain flavorful options, which support, ANY PLAY-STYLE.
Seriously, you can be who, or what you want in S&S. The traditional Rpg archetypes are present in Sins & Sovereigns, but, these are not forced on the players; providing unlimited freedom to the players, this is without the system punishing you for "Playing Wrong."
In addition to the Sybarite template, Demon (I draw a lot of inspiration for S&S demons from the epic poem, Paradise Lost), Fae (Not the classical Faeries, but the beautiful nightmares of Irish lore; think the epic poem, Midsummer Night's Dream), and Golem (Golems are synthetic life forms that are objectified by all others based upon personal perceptions, and purity rating. The golem experience will be quite unique....); act as alternative, and incredibly unique player options, with their own distinct systems, mechanics, roles in the setting, and fluff. What this means for you, is, a fuckton of options in an already expansive system.
Several things such as the effects of aging, and mechanical effects of child rearing are in the works as well.
This is all for now, Bodhi out!
